Best Hospitals in Georgia

The job market for nurses continues to grow in the United States due to demographic trends and health care legislations that increased the demand for health care workers, especially nurses. The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that demand for Registered Nurses will increase by twenty six percent in the ten-year period from 2010 to 2020. This increased demand is attributed to an aging population and advanced medical care that requires more health care workers.

In Georgia, the demand for nurses is significantly increasing. Nurses in the state may find employment in operating rooms, doctors’ offices, intensive care, ambulatory care, and health care clinics. The annual salary of a registered nurse in the state averages $61,630 in 2013. In 2014, it increased to $76,000, which is 14% higher than average annual income for nurses in the United States.
